About Delta Airlines and the Role Delta Airlines is a renowned airline company that operates globally, providing exceptional travel experiences to millions of customers. As an AI Software Engineer, you'll be part of our Development team, working on drives that span our complex global operation to the digital booking experience. You'll collaborate with experts and cross-functionally with our partners to identify and define business problems suitable for AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of experts to identify and define business problems that can be addressed using AI/ML solutions.
  • Develop strategies around the frameworks, technologies, and infrastructure our team should utilize in our proof-of-concepts and pilots for AI solutions.
  • Build proof-of-concepts and prototypes to demonstrate the impact of AI in Delta's various business units.
  • Develop a suite of reusable models/solutions for rapid prototyping.
  • Foster an AI-first mindset and help democratize AI across Delta.
  • Collaborate with business units on specific drives and run your own initiatives, including democratizing innovation throughout Delta and exploring the impacts of disruptive trends in our industry.

Essential Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of work/educational experience in AI and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language, including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, Python, or R.
  • Significant experience with Python for programming development and knowledge of the intricacies of software development in Python.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Natural Language Processing, sentiment analysis, clustering, pattern recognition.
  • Development experience with AI frameworks, such as TensorFlow, Microsoft CNTK, scikit, Keras, Caffe, Gluon, Light, SageMaker, Azure AI.
  • Experience with basic Web UI and API development.
  • Experience and familiarity presenting to technical audiences.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Any side projects you've worked on in the past couple of years in the AI/ML space.
  • Any relevant experience in the travel, aviation, or aircraft space.
