Entry Level Electrical Engineer
Salas O’Brien is an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm focused on achieving impact for their clients and the world. The electrical engineer will work through the life cycle of equipment, facilities, and sites, performing various tasks such as design development, construction oversight, and analyzing systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Design of commercial and industrial power, lighting, communications, fire alarm and security systems (plans, specs, and cost estimates)
- Perform Arc Flash Hazard Analysis
- Perform facility condition assessments and capital asset management planning
- Perform detailed cost analyses and material take-offs of a variety of building types throughout the US and other countries
- Perform construction management for ongoing construction efforts
- Work with multi-disciplinary design teams
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Zero to two years' experience and is seeking to specialize in Power for Electrical Engineering throughout their career
- Prefer EIT License or prior engineering co-op/internship experience
- Proficiency in using engineering tools and software: Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams/Sharepoint and email Applications
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Experience with CAD, Revit, SKM Power Tools for Windows, Easy Power, or other electrical system modeling/drafting software highly preferred
- Effective interpersonal skills and strong communication (written and verbal)

- Valid/Unrestricted FL driver license
- Must be a US Citizen
- Ability to obtain a clearance from the Defense Security Service and other Federal Government Agencies
