This is a hands‑on role for someone with a great eye for photography who's excited to build skills in a fast‑paced media environment.ResponsibilitiesResearch and select images to support editorial content produced dailyEdit images in Photoshop — color correction, resizing, and optimization for email and web — to match individual brand standardsAssist with light graphic design work within existing templatesManage image metadata, rights clearances, and digital asset organization in our MAM systemCollaborate with editors, designers, and photo editors to align visual assets with written contentReview photo quality across brands and flag issues for broader reviewSupport photo editors on special projects as neededUphold high editorial standards, ensuring all visuals are clear, accurate, engaging, and trustworthyRequirementsBachelor’s degree in photography, visual arts, journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience)Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and across the Adobe suite of toolsSolid understanding of image licensing, copyright, and rights management basicsStrong editorial judgement and an eye for great photographyMeticulous attention to detail in both editorial quality and executionAbility to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing qualityClear written and verbal communication skills for remote collaborationPreferred0–1 year of professional or internship experience in a photo editing or visual media contextExperience working with a digital asset management systemFamiliarity with Figma, Airtable, and WordPressA firm understanding of the digital media landscape and current visual and media trendsThe Britannica Group strives to provide its users with trustworthy, verified information in a constantly changing world.
