Data Product Owner - Snowflake
Role Title: Data Product Owner Employment Type: Contract Duration: 6-12 months - opportunities for conversion Preferred Location: Remote - Must work EST hours We're looking for a Data Product Owner with strong Snowflake expertise to lead data sourcing and integration initiatives supporting a modern enterprise data platform. This role will own the roadmap and backlog for a Snowflake Data Sourcing team responsible for delivering high-quality, trusted data into the Unified Conformed Layer (UCL) What You'll Be Responsible For
- Acting as the Product Owner for a Snowflake-based data sourcing team
- Driving the intake, prioritization, and delivery of data onboarding and integration initiatives
- Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into actionable user stories
- Managing the backlog and ensuring alignment with enterprise data priorities
- Collaborating with Data Engineers and Architects to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions
- Supporting data mapping, transformation, lineage, and quality requirements
- Identifying and managing dependencies across source systems, data consumers, and delivery teams
- Leading Agile ceremonies and driving successful sprint execution
- Ensuring data products are delivered on time and meet business expectations
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Data Product Owner, or Senior Business Analyst
- Strong Snowflake experience, including data sourcing, integration, and transformation concepts
- Experience working with enterprise data warehouses, cloud data platforms, or large-scale data ecosystems
- Strong understanding of SQL, data mapping, data lineage, and data quality
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Banking or Financial Services experience
- Experience supporting enterprise data modernization programs
- Knowledge of data governance and master data management practices
