Cybersecurity Analyst – Remote

Job Summary HR Service Jobs is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting our digital assets, monitoring networks for security breaches, investigating incidents, and implementing security measures that ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data. This role is critical for maintaining a secure IT environment and defending against cyber threats in real-time.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources to identify potential threats or breaches.

Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis of IT systems.

  • *

Develop, implement, and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and encryption solutions.

  • *

Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and remediation.

  • *

Regularly update and patch systems to reduce exposure to vulnerabilities.

  • *

Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into software and infrastructure.

  • *

Prepare comprehensive reports detailing security events, risks, and mitigation plans.

  • *

Conduct employee training sessions to promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization.

Stay up to date with emerging cyber threats, security technologies, and compliance regulations.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • *

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • *

Proven experience with intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewalls, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection.

  • *

Knowledge of network protocols, security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS), and risk management principles.

  • *

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • *

Understanding of incident response and digital forensics techniques.

  • *

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • *

Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or CISM are highly desirable.

Minimum of 2–4 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related technical field.

  • *

Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is preferred.

  • *

Previous remote or hybrid work experience will be an added advantage.

  • Working Hours
  • *

Flexible remote working schedule.

  • *

Core working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday).

  • *

Occasional after-hours monitoring or response may be required during high-priority security incidents.

Deep understanding of cybersecurity methodologies and best practices.

Ability to manage multiple tasks while prioritizing time-sensitive issues.

Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automating security tasks.

Strong attention to detail and critical thinking.

Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
