Full Consideration Date: 5/29/2026 Job Description: The University of Northern Iowa’s School of Public Affairs and Service seeks applications for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor of Criminology & Criminal Justice to teach the online three-credit course CRIM 3400 Police & Society, for the fall semester beginning August 24, 2026. Responsibilities include teaching this online, asynchronous course, which studies the history, role, and function of police as a public service focused on reducing crime, protecting society, and achieving justice. Topics include community relationships, analysis of factors influencing police effectiveness, and pressing issues challenging crime control in a democratic society. Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or related field; and experience teaching at the university level required.
